Groundhog Job Shadow Day

On February 1, Mililani High School students left behind schoolwork for a day to experience the real, full-time business environment at host companies. Every first friday in February, National Groundhog Job Shadow day arrives. Students visit a wide range of businesses (from Pacific Beach Hotel to Coca Cola to Kapiolani Hospital) with their classes or parents, friends or relatives. This year, with the support of Junior Achievement, classes were able to visit State Farm Insurance, Hawaii Foodbank and River of Life Mission, Oceanit/Hoana Medical and Castle & Cooke Hawaii's new "green" self-storage building in Mililani Mauka. KHNL news coverage of the Castle & Cooke visit can be viewed online at http://www.khnl.com/Global/story.asp?S=8195283

Thank you to State Farm Insurance, River of Life, Foodbank, Oceanit, Hoana Medical, Castle & Cooke Hawaii, Junior Achievement of Hawaii and all of the very supportive businesses for welcoming our students.
